EIACP Resource Partner on Ecotourism, Sikkim State Council of Science and Technology successfully launched Green Skill Development Programme Certificate Course on 1. Nature Conservator cum Ecotourism Guide 2. Apiculturist (wildbee) 3. Non-Timber Forest Produce: Bamboo Crafts at Sikkim Science Centre, Marchak on 18th January 2025. The inaugural function was graced by Honourable Minister Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Shri Raju Basnet and Secretary Department of Science and Technology Shri Sandeep Tambe IFS, Secretary, Principal Director Department of Science and Technology Shri Dorji Thinlay Bhutia and Director Sikkim State Council of Science and Technology Shri Suman Thapa. Total No of trainees for Ecotourism: 30 Apiculturist: 20 Bamboo crafts: 30 were present during the inaugural function. The programme period is scheduled from 18th January to 18th March for Ecotourism and Bamboo Crafts and 18th January to 16 February 2025 for Apiculturist 2025.
