Major out comes of the training program as per the feed backobtained from the trainees.

·  The trainees found the lectures very informative and knowledgeable  and have   shown there satisfaction towards the resource persons.

·  Twenty five trainees were trained in the training program.

·  All the trainees attended said that they  would like to attend more training programs being conducted in future on various other aspects of Biotechnology and    Bioinformatics.

·  Maximum trainees were science graduates and post graduates students, lecturers   from science stream had also attended the training.

·  Topics which trainees have suggested to be taken up in future training programs –   Pharmacology and study of drugs yielding plant; Bioinformatics Molecular biology    Techniques; Statistical genetics; Tran genesis; PCR; electron microscopy; Tissue   Culture ; Plant diseases and their control Measures (plant pathology); Conservation  and Management issues concerning  Biodiversity, etc.

  It works for Protocol development for the isolation and mass propagation of indigenous plant species of Sikkim and to undertake research on genetic manipulation for crop improvement, disease isolation/control.......

Bioinformatics labs

 Bioinformatics center works to acquire information related to genomics and proteomics of microbial enzymes and To establish linkages with national and international resources in Biotechnology information...

Remote Sensing Labs
