Capacity Building & Skill Development Programme

 

Department of Science and Technology and Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology is organizing Capacity Building Programme in the 3rd & 4th week of January 2008 on various technologies for Educated Unemployed Youth having passed class XII (preference will be given to graduates), Entrepreneurs who have set up some small scale units or are planning to set up enterprise clearly mentioning their areas of interest, Registered Self Help Groups and Progressive Farmers identified by Horticulture/Agriculture Department in Horticulture Mission. The training programme will be  organized with resource persons from (1) North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat (2) Cane & Bamboo Technology Centre, Guwahati (3) Central Food Technology Research Institute, Mysore, (4) Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and (5) Indian Council of Forest Research and Education, Dehradun.

The training programme shall be held in Gangtok.  The detail of the programme are as follows.

Conditions:-

1.  Candidates are allowed to apply for one package training course only at a time.

2.  TA/DA will be paid to all such selected candidates who are required to stay in Gangtok during the

     training programme.

3.  Training does not guarantee for a job.  Interested candidates may submit their applications duly

     indicating the programme with the following documents:

a.       Attested copies of educational qualification.

b.      Attested copies of Sikkim Subject Certificate/Certificate of Identification.

 

      Application should reach the office of the Sr. Scientific Officer (T.T.), Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology latest by January 10, 2008.
